7 Days of Sensuality -Day 2
Day 2- Movement/Motion
Dancing expressively and emotionally, while connected to beautiful music can be extremely freeing and release a lot of energy. I sometimes use movement in my sessions in order to really shake up the energy and get it moving. As a matter of fact, we sometimes literally shake our bodies. Don’t worry, nobody is watching. We turn our backs to each other and just let go.
If you are thinking that you can’t dance, it doesn’t matter. Movement is movement. Dancing is subjective. You don’t have to move. Crawl on the floor and pretend to be an animal, shake your body, move slowly and freely around the room. It is not about dancing, it is simply movement.
Sarah Haykel (sarahhaykel.com) offers this simple way to practice movement:
A simple way to practice this style of movement is to turn on your favorite music at home and follow your breath as you combine it with your body’s movements. See how it feels to move around while connecting consciously with your breath.
